Articles and project coverage
Articles for newspapers and public discussion, alongside independent reporting related to projects we have worked on.
Project work can inform reporting, commentary and public debate. This area brings together the purpose of our own writing and the newspaper coverage relevant to the issues, institutions and events examined in our projects.
Articles arising from our work
INITIATIVE’s writing includes articles for newspapers, opinion essays, project accounts and explanations of proposed reforms. The purpose is to make the substance of a project understandable: the question, the evidence, the competing interpretations and the practical implications.
An article should make clear whether it reports documented events, offers analysis or argues for a particular policy response.
Related newspaper reporting
Independent reporting can add context, new evidence and perspectives to a project. Coverage is connected to the relevant work with the publication, author, date and original link identified.
Reporting about an issue we have studied is distinguished from reporting about FIGURE ELEVEN itself. Our commentary is attributed separately from the journalist’s account.
Publication and corrections
Published work should retain its source references and make substantive corrections visible. Draft articles and unreviewed project records remain private until approved for release.
